Improving health literacy in the county with the nation’s largest and highest income majority African American population was the focal point of SRB’s work for the Prince George’s County. Maryland’s Health Department and the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. Our team provided qualitative research, marketing and branding work for the campaign, which paralleled the COVID-19 pandemic over two years. SRB delivered an integrated marketing campaign through owned- and earned-media providing market research, strategy, creative and content development.

Our team screened and selected participants, planned and executed 18 focus groups with nine diverse populations in the county, initiating and amplifying community conversations on barriers to health equity and the COVID-19 vaccine. Insights and recommendations learned from research findings supported the strategy and execution to develop a microsite as a health literacy hub for the county’s nearly one million residents.
