SRB Communications has worked with the region’s largest utility company, Pepco Holdings, an Exelon company, since 2004, providing marketing, advertising, strategic communications, public relations and video production services to help reach its nearly one million customers. We create and execute integrated multicultural campaigns and provide strategic communications services that support the company’s programs and initiatives. Pepco provides safe and reliable energy service to customers in Washington, D.C., Montgomery and Prince George’s Counties, in Maryland.

From August 2022 to February 2023, SRB led and executed strategy and messaging, content and creative development, and a paid media campaign for the DC PLUG initiative. DC PLUG is a multi-year $500 million undergrounding initiative to improve the reliability and resiliency of the District’s energy grid. Our strategy was to help Pepco customers and stakeholders, both in mass and multicultural markets, understand the project’s benefits and warn residents about potential disruptions in communities. We developed an omnichannel public education campaign to increase engagement including out-of-home and print advertising, radio commercials in English and Spanish, and digital ads on Facebook, Instagram and Google.
