Multiple large-scale construction projects underway on a college campus can be disruptive to student learning, faculty and staff working conditions. In an effort to ease logistical distractions for its real estate projects, known as the Campus Master Plan. Howard University intended to inform and regularly update students, faculty and staff on its longtime construction plans.
SRB executed a communications strategy on the campus infrastructure projects, engaging human interest stories about the people involved in or affected by the work and thoughtful content connecting the $1 billion project with Howard’s core values and vision. We created content for marketing collateral, event materials, videos, social media and website. The SRB team produced more than 30 short videos and soundbites.
SRB also planned a groundbreaking event for the first renovated building, developing the creative and marketing collateral. We interviewed key stakeholders and partners to better highlight the key components of the construction projects in video vignettes to educate stakeholders on the importance of the project.
