Account Manager

Joshua C. Ogubefi is a marketing, advertising and communications professional with five years' experience, executing strategic communications and crisis communications initiatives, developing multimedia creative content, and creating and managing digital and social media marketing. Joshua is passionate about using intentional, inclusive and innovative communication strategies alongside storytelling to reach all audience, especially underserved and marginalized; foster collective action, and drive change. Grounded in his Nigerian heritage and shaped by his international experiences, Joshua brings a global, culturally attuned perspective to how communication can bridge differences and build understanding across communities.

At SRB Communications, Joshua brings deep knowledge in creating and executing "best-in-class" brand awareness, public education, and outreach and engagement campaigns. He manages client-facing accounts and drives integrated marketing and communications strategies from concept through execution - overseeing strategy, creative and content development, and multi-channel campaign delivery across digital and traditional platforms.

Joshua uses his strong project management experience to oversee project timelines, coordinating cross-functional teams, and ensuring alignment with client objectives - while leading content development, campaign optimization, and performance measurement across marketing, advertising, media relations, paid media, and community and stakeholder engagement initiatives.

He also coordinates all paid media activities across a variety of traditional and digital platforms, i.e. TV, radio, digital, print and out-of-home – to enhance target audience exposure and experience. 

In his previous role at the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (U.S. HHS), Office of Disease Prevention and Health Promotion, Joshua helped manage the Move Your Way® campaign, the communications campaign for the Physical Activity Guidelines for Americans. Joshua supported campaign development, implementation, and evaluation, which included managing communications assets ranging from videos and factsheets to webpages, and facilitating community outreach. He also coordinated the department's social media content development and dissemination.

Prior to his work at U.S. HHS, Joshua interned at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and Kennesaw State University (KSU). At the CDC, Joshua led a website development and audit project to assess how the CDCs physical activity website could better align with new CDC health equity guidance. At KSU, Joshua managed the Department of Sports and Recreation's social media platforms, including developing content.  

In addition to his work in government and higher education, Joshua has supported communications for a Nigerian diaspora organization, where he developed creative content, designed event activities and helped lead cultural initiatives that empower communities across the Nigerian diaspora.

Joshua earned his Master of Public Health from the University of Georgia and his Bachelor of Science in Public Health, magna cum laude, from The Ohio State University.
