Heidi Cox serves as the agency’s Staff Accountant. In her role, Heidi is responsible for overseeing day-to-day financial operations, managing all accounting functions, consistently developing and improving systems. Her more than 30 years’ experience in accounting includes expertise in tax preparation and financial analysis working directly with CPAs to optimize financial strategies.

Since 2008, Heidi has maintained accounting for small businesses i.e., managing payroll, quarterly taxes, accounts payable, accounts receivable, billing, general ledger and journal entries posting, account reconciliations and financial statements. Her primary clients included several California companies, a Northern Virginia retailer, two Northern Virginia capital finance companies and other Northern Virginia firms e.g., property management, structural steel, commercial door and internet sales. 

Prior to her work with small businesses, Cox worked as an accounting technician for the City of Staunton, managing all utility and parking garage billing. She also assisted with fixed assets accounting for the city, when needed. Cox has held positions as an accounts payable manager, accounts receivables manager and fixed asset manager throughout her career.

Heidi has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in Accounting from Mary Baldwin University in Staunton, Virginia.
