Community Engagement


To raise awareness among the community of the intended modernization of the energy grid with increased capacity. With construction taking place to build a new substation, replace aging infrastructure, and install vast underground transmission cable, consumers needed to be informed and educated fast.


Strategy and planning of a community outreach and stakeholder engagement campaign made for a successful prolonged effort. A comprehensive communication strategy and proactive outreach approach to educate residents and business owners throughout multicultural communities through the mediums they engage with was executed.


Secured project advocates for testimony before the public service commission. Our earned media efforts for Pepco encompassed a distinct and tactical approach for engagement and exposure to customers, the community at large, stakeholders, business and community leaders, faith-based organizations and local media. We identified key customer touch points, drafted news article topics and pitched content to targeted media. As a result, several media outlets worked with us in tandem to get communications out.
