With more than 40 years’ experience in the media and communications industry,

Dr. Brooks is the lead communications strategist for the agency and is an advocate for minority and women’s issues and small business. As an author, former television newscaster and executive producer, she provides media and communications, community outreach, and multicultural advertising and marketing services and counsel to the agency’s clients in the energy and utilities, education, and transportation industries, and for issue advocacy and political campaigns.

Dr. Brooks teaches a graduate course in multicultural marketing as an adjunct professor on the faculty in the graduate school’s Strategic Public Relations program at The George Washington University.

Since 2015, Rodney has led the writing team at the agency, developing content ranging from newsletters and press releases, to marketing collateral including print, radio, TV and digital ads, brochures, fact sheets, FAQs and more. Previously, he worked for 30 years as Deputy Managing Editor/Personal Finance and retirement columnist for USA TODAY.  Brooks coordinated personal finance news on all media platforms for the national newspaper including reporters, copy editors, assignment editors, graphic designers, digital media specialists, and columnists.

Communications Manager

Caryn serves as the strategist for internal and external communications, developing and executing communications strategies, campaigns, and coordinating content that ensures consistent messaging and corporate brand and identity. Specifically, she helps create marketing collateral and promotional materials, both print and electronic, and prepares top-line and in-depth focus group reports. She also writes press releases, press advisories, case studies, white papers and copy for brochures, corporate newsletters, PowerPoint presentations and more.  Caryn works closely with the agency’s social media team on strategy and implementation.

In her Project Manager role, Amber is responsible for ensuring client projects and internal agency teams properly function, keeping the campaign and project tasks on track, on budget and meeting deadlines. She is the team leader in social and digital media at SRB Communications. Amber also manages all PR and event planning for the agency. Her responsibilities include strategic development of the public relations, media relations, digital and social media strategy for the boutique advertising and marketing agency and its clients. As the Marketing and PR lead, it is her job to continually seek ways to add value to the client-agency relationship, as well as the client-customer relationships.

David is responsible for account coordination of the agency’s largest energy and university customers by working to develop and execute media buys including strategic media planning, buying and placement across all types of media channels i.e. video, digital, audio, social media, print, outdoor, etc. He uses technology across media channels and social media platforms to create a cohesive digital and online presence for the agency and its clients. David is responsible for overseeing day-to-day operations including broadcast, video, event, and digital productions.

Alan has more than 20 years’ graphic design and account management experience working at major advertising agencies across Europe, the Middle East, Asia and the U.S., delivering integrated marketing communications and brand campaigns to diverse and multicultural market segments. In his current role, he manages and supports advertising, marketing, outreach, public education and strategic communications campaigns, as well as being an integral team member of the agency’s award-winning creative team. He helps integrate brand standards and guidelines into campaigns and projects for consistency in messaging, design, production and execution. Specifically, Alan reviews and approves creative and production materials, copy, layouts and production art. He also prepares and reviews all major deliverables to ensure quality standards and client expectations are met.
