Case Study: Advertising and Marketing Campaign – Pepco Holdings

Recently, PHI was in need of constructing an underground transmission cable and one new substation, and replacing aging infrastructure of three existing substations to address the growing need for energy in the District of Columbia and surrounding areas of Maryland. PHI turned to SRB Communications to develop a comprehensive communications strategy and proactive community relations approach to educate residents, business owners, and stakeholders about the importance of these infrastructure improvements that will ultimately provide more reliable service to customers.
SRB Communications is currently developing and executing all community engagement initiatives, especially those targeting multicultural communities in the Washington, D.C. region including: creating branding, creative and printed and digital design assets; driving key community stakeholders’ attendance to forums; planning and executing community meetings; and conducting paid advertising.
Previously, SRB Communications was the multicultural advertising “agency of record” for Pepco. We created and executed ongoing integrated advertising campaigns primarily targeted to the African American and Asian American markets including Chinese, Korean and Vietnamese speakers. In addition, we provided media buying and placement services to the general market.
We have also worked with PHI providing Strategic Communications Consulting & Event Planning Services for the 2015 Earth Day Expo and the 2014 and 2016 Diverse Business Empowerment events.
